The peach
A curious flat-shaped peach from the east of Sicily. Sicily is renowned for its apricots,
peaches, cherries and nuts such as almond and hazel. Springtime conversation in the cafes of Palermo are as likely to concern how well the almond trees are blossoming in Agrigento (because agriculture is a fundamental resource in Sicily) as they are in talking about political maneuvering in Rome.
